Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will indicate his intention to strengthen economic sanctions against Russia for its aggression against Ukraine at the G7 summit of the Group of Seven (G7) major economies in Brussels on 24 June. The Prime Minister told reporters at his official residence on 23 June: 'I would like to explain further strengthening of sanctions. I would also like to announce additional humanitarian assistance".
