Russia attacks Black Sea port of Odessa shortly after agreement to resume grain exports.

On 23 March, the Ukrainian military announced that the commercial port of Odessa in the south facing the Black Sea had come under Russian missile attack. The two countries had just signed a document of agreement on 22 May on the resumption of exports of Ukrainian grain, which had been delayed due to Russia's blockade of the Black Sea.

UN Secretary-General Guterres issued a statement through his spokesperson saying that he "unequivocally condemns" and reiterated his call for the agreement to resume grain exports to be implemented.
