US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to leave shortly for a visit to Taiwan.

On 31 July, US Speaker of the House Pelosi officially announced her trip to Asia. She announced on Twitter that she would lead a delegation of lawmakers to high-level meetings in Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia. He did not mention his visit to Taiwan, which is the focus of the trip.

USS Ronald Reagan

A carrier strike group led by the US aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan entered the South China Sea. The US Navy's Seventh Fleet explained that it was originally a planned exercise.
Commander Haley Sims, spokesperson for the US Navy's 7th Fleet based in Japan, responded to a Bloomberg News query by saying that "Ronald Reagan and the strike group are now navigating the South China Sea after a successful port call in Singapore. He added that they were "continuing their normal and scheduled exercises as part of their patrols in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific."
According to a US Navy release, Ronald Reagan departed Changi Naval Base, Singapore, on 26 June after a five-day port call.

KC-135 aerial refuelling aircraft

On 30 August, nine KC135 aerial refuelling aircraft belonging to Air Force bases in the US flew in to Kadena Air Base in the US one after another. In addition, two C2A Greyhounds, a carrier-based transport aircraft, and one MH60 helicopter, a US Navy aircraft on board the USS Tripoli assault landing ship, which entered the USS White Beach, also flew in.
